Ocean Grove Memorial Home:: Funeral Home :: General Info & Staff
 

The Ocean Grove Memorial Home was established in 1956 by William P. Walton, Jr., who was also the owner of the Farry Memorial Home in Asbury Park. 1n 1966, his son, William P., III, received his license and began working for his father. Also on the staff at that time were Robert E. Nicholson and Donald R. Newman, both of whom would be on staff for over 30 years. Mr. Newman and his wife Joyce lived above the funeral home in Ocean Grove until his retirement in 1996. After Mr. Walton, Jr.’s retirement, his son became owner of the funeral homes. The Farry Memorial Home was lost to a fire in 1997.

 

In 1996, Thomas J. Saragusa joined Bill as a partner in the Ocean Grove Memorial Home became sole owner  in 2005. 

 

Tom and his wife, the former Carolyn Armenti have been married since 1999 and have 2 children, Gabriella and Thomas, Jr.
